i ve been away from radio for a couple of weeks, well sort of. i went satellite. when asked by people how i like it i can only tell them this, in 1981 i returned home for the summer from college. my mom said nothing much was new, but we did get cable t.v.and this thing called home box office.
i can not imagine going back to rabbit ears and that is the same with radio. i appreciate that alot of people on this board are radio professionals and I do not mean any disrespect. i will say that i am a life long radio fan back to Larry Lujack and radio is staggering but not down. if 1010 thinks that al keck and the sports chicks is the answer, pray for the bell to ring and get to a neutral corner.

Your opinion noted. But for me personally, here's my take. I had satellite radio free for a while after I bought my new car. I gave it a chance, and I did like it to an extent, but when it expired, I had no problem having only the standard radio. In fact, even when I had the satellite, I still found myself listening to radio a lot. Satellite is great for sports and world news, but outside of that, I had no need or desire to listen to it. And it's not because I work in radio.
