Good article on what's wrong with radio

You lighten up. The post was why radio sucks.
The OP offered one valid reason.
You apparently can't deal with the truth.

Cheap Channel and Cumulus are rumoured to be on the verge of gutting staff again, always before Christmas.

Their actions have harmed the sound and morale of employees.

What don't you understand????

i don't understand radio people spending most of their time trashing their business

ain't it funny: most motivated and successful and respected radio people spend their time being CONSTRUCTIVE

those who don't have what it takes spend a good deal of their time being DEstructive

what part of that do U not understand???????????????

(and it's about time somebody stand up for those who are passionate about their craft, put their heart & soul into it and direct their energy toward being part of the solution vs. being part of the problem)

got it?

There is nothing constructive to radio about anything that Clear Channel does.

as i said-------all the whiners and complainers in the sour grapes club are usually the biggest non-contriubtors to radio

I don't work in radio- never said I do. (I did in the past, a long long time ago when stations developed and hired talent- in news and on-air).

Interesting how any time many of us "non important" listeners post to this board some ideas on how to -- dare I say -- IMPROVE radio, such as expand formats, add programming to appeal to wider audiences (ala 50s-60s oldies), they're shot down. Told they don't know what they're talking about. No one wants to hear that music. The ad guys could care less.

So you must be one of the "yes men." Never interested in hearing new ideas. We never do it that way, you know. Surely, you will remain until the medium goes kaput.
