Good Bye Lorraine O'Donnell

Says who?

Did she say something on the air or was in on Facebook?

Wow... maybe Brad Riter better reconsider his planned vacation. He may not recognize his employees (or the station's format!) when he returns from his fun in the sun.

For anyone who has been in this business for any length of time..you could see the writing on the wall a month ago..this is just the begining of the end.. Two out within a week..whose next?? I smell format change.

Nick Mendola is scheduled to be on at 1 pm.

I'm sure he won't address the recent changes, but he has to be feeling a bit uncertain about things as walls are crumbling around him.

If Brad is on the air today, he may address some of this, although I'm sure that will ultimately come down to what Dick says he can and cannot say on the air.

A developing situation indeed.... and yes, I'm sure none of us are that surprised this is happening.

WECK's website for the "Broadcast Schedule" section says this:

Posted about a month ago by Brad Riter

SCHEDULE DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE AS OF 5/26/11.

So I flipped on WLVL during my ride home today and I heard.... RITER RADIO.

I thought Brad fired himself from WLVL?

I'm confused.

Tom and Corey sounded very energized and enthusiastic today on WECK. I only heard bits and pieces of the show so I don't know if they acknowledged Lorraine's departure or if they just rolled right along with the revised morning show, which today was very heavy on political talk.

I'm curious to see if Lorraine's friends from the theatre community, the local comedians and a few other morning show guests that were obviously brought in by her stick around or if they say no thanks because their colleague is no longer working there.

Just so we're clear, was she terminated or did she resign? Is anyone exactly sure what went down yesterday (hint hint... someone tell Lorraine to post something so we know, or maybe Brad or Nick will post a brief message of explanation.)

According to her Facebook posting she was let go after yesterday's show. According to that post she was told "It just wasn't working"...she emphasized she was the only one let go and Tom is staying...

Loraine is speaking out. Good for her. Must feel great to get this off of her chest.

YOU GO GIRL !!!
