You know, thats the only situation to make the most since by far.

If 106.7 does go some form of Contemporary, look for them to take it straight up Urban. So it will still protect the valuable entity known as 97.9.

This also becomes a very interesting scenario because of one thing - DELAWARE COUNTY!

It's not that Delaware is better than the others, but it has a lot of rich money and new money all over the place, look for them to put something on that signal that will do just that...make them money!

Lovejamminoldies - I hear that 1600 is for sale in Springfield. There is someone that wants to buy it as along as they can get a 100 watt LPFM to translate it on. Im thinking 107.1 or so near Enon. The person wants to turn it into 1600 THE VIBE - Classic Dance and Soul. That would be huge for Springfield!

WKKJ - 94.3 in Chillicothe was originally a Class-A station that was upped to a Class-B1; Is there any room on the dial up in Marion for that to also happen?

Maybe. Two co-channel class B1's would have to be separated by 113 miles (there's about 95 between the Marion and Chilli). If co-owned, the stations might be able to waiver interference and or go directional. Of course, going directional might cancel out the benefits of the power increase. I'd have to sit down and draw intersecting circles... this would be a very tight fit if it will work at all. Stations you would have to stay out of the way of would be 94.3 Chilli 94.1 Canton, 93.9 Columbus Grove, 93.7 Mt. Vernon, 94.5 Pt. Clinton, 94.7 Columbus, and 94.9 Medina.
 
It will be interesting to see the translator on 106.7 finally shut off... Their still pumping out the sounds of 91.1 WOSU's station in Marion.

Why would they care about WTDA? A station pulling a 1 share? Airing shows that CC has largely cast off as rejects? (Foxsports, Bob and Tom and Glenn Beck were all cast aside by CC). I'm not saying it won't happen but I don't think it would be to take on WTDA. There are far bigger fish to fry.
 
Why did this happen?? I just heard about this now! I never even got a chance to listen to this station! I have been checking back every so often but they never even streamed! There are too many country stations as it is! Country SUCKS!!!

That's why WMRN went to the Alternativey format that it did.
