Good DX opportunity in the area right now

The past few mornings have been great.

Yesterday and today, I got "95 Country" WQNZ Natchez, Mississippi (I was at 183 & Mockingbird listening to my car radio with an in-window antenna).

Both days, I couldn't get the Ticket on 104.1. There was a lot of fading with country music. My best guess is KKUS from Tyler on 104.1

Last week (Tuesday 7/31) I got KXUL 91.1 from Monroe, Louisiana (at only 8.5 kw) and KGRM 91.5 from Grambling. (I found a nice high-spot in Las Colinas where I can park for a few minutes on the way to work.)

Just like sox fan matt, I've been hearing lots of Waco and Tyler stations. KNUE/101.5 Tyler and KOOI/106.5 Jacksonville sound like locals as late as noon for me.

I was hearing KKXT 91.7 here in Walker, Louisiana yesterday morning like a local for over a half hour. KVIL and KCBI were pretty strong here too. KLTY and KHKS were coming in also but not as strong as KKXT was.

VHF propogation was still good and strong this morning. Was heading to Midlothian for work from North Dallas. Heard KNUE/Tyler like a local for most of the cormmute.

What was particularly funny was the fact I passed the Cedar Hill stick farm while listening to KNUE full-quieting. I felt accomplished. ;D
