Good E-Skip Day June 2022

Not the same thing since I was nearly 3000 feet above sea level and mountains would block some signals, but here are a couple of stations I heard. I didn't make a real effort while I was driving to find out all the stations I could hear, but I just happened to hear these.

WESC 92.5 could be heard most places. However, I heard a different country station and what I will call a "Margaritaville" type song (because that's what it said on someone's bumper sticker) in a very short distance. I'm guessing the country station was WCKN Charleston SC. I have no idea what else I could have heard. another station had a song with a dance beat.

The WCQS translator at 102.9 was usually listenable but I heard WLKO Charlotte occasionally. Now I can't remember what else I heard on 102.9.

Hard catch but I'm hearing (barely) a nice station on 94.3 in Gaffney, plays all 90's music. I believe its W232AX from Rock Hill SC, not bad for 54 watts reaching almost 50 miles ;)

It's a great station, can't find a stream though.
It simulcasts an HD channel of WRHM.
Definitely would love an all 90's station around here.

You can find the Stream here:

www.90son943.com

Click the 90's / 94.3 Logo and it will Stream. Don't expect perfect Audio Quality though. One channel sounds lower than the other.

Steve.

Yeah the 90's on 94.3 station has a great variety but on a bad signal. Only goes a few miles from downtown Rock Hill with a clear signal. I wish they can increase power or height, but I know that 94.5 WGTK from Greenville won't allow for that.

It would be nice if they can take over the other nearby station 106.1 since they already own 107.1 and that other one is right down the road.

Some more good tropo DX,
Hearing Savannah stations WIXV (95.5),
WJCL (96.5), and WAEV (97.3) loud and clear all the way from Inman, SC this morning, also, very faint WXYY (100.1) from the same area.

Also WWXM (97.7) all the way from Myrtle Beach, coming in over the Greenville SC translator (W249DL).

Also a 1st time catch for this area:
WQZY (95.9) from Dublin GA sounding clear :)

Another good catch this morning :)
WGLF Gulf 104.1 from Tallahassee Florida
Reaching Inman SC next to Spartanburg.
About 300 miles and sounding clear :)

Surprised that its reaching this far, I've heard this station in the area near Albany and Tifton GA where it still provides a listenable but weak signal 80 miles away.

And recorded this one:

Wow WRAL (Mix 101.5) is coming in at times tonight off Pelham Road at I-85 in East Greenville SC, even stronger than WZWK-LP only 4 miles away,
while WRAL is about 215 miles away.

WRAL is currently playing Christmas Music 🎄

Took a video of it as well:
