Good Morning Show on WFMY at 9 AM

WFMY had been running CBS's morning show from 8-10. As part of their affiliation renewal, they were forced to move CBS's show to 7 AM. At the time, WFMY moved Ellen to 9 AM but when her show ended, WFMY chose to fill the time with a return of the last hour of the Good Morning Show at 9 AM.

WFMY is facing another programming problem come September. Daily Blast Live, which it airs at 3 PM, has been canceled by Tegna. Daytime Jeopardy! is on at 3:30 and that may not be a problem, but I've heard nothing yet about what will go into the 3 PM slot.

How about a “Good Afternoon Show” at 3pm or they could always plug in Andy Griffith.

I'd go for the "Good Afternoon Show"; I don't want Andy Griffith back on.
There is a precedent for a "Good Afternoon Show": sister station WFAA has "Good Morning Texas" at 9 AM and "Good Afternoon Texas" at 2 PM; they are also going to have to find a replacement for "Daily Blast Live" (a 3 PM newscast, perhaps?).

They did start a "Good Afternoon Show" at 3, so you called it, I think, from having talked to him once, that g.m. Larry Audas decided some time back that Andy has run his course; he might pop up on weekends but I don't think he'll be back on every day.
