Good News: KUSF Jocks Back On The Air!

I wish KUSF is re-instated on the air at 90.3. even though I am a fan of KDFC but I hate the fact that KDFC was assigned bad frequencies due to wall street and FCC pressure. by the way what was KDFC-FM ratings before the switch at 102.1 and what was the trend for KDFC at 102.1?

Where is KUSF/ AKA current KDFC's transmitter at since 102.1 transmitter was taken over by KUFX.

The 90.3 transmitter is on top of a buliding at USF

What "FCC pressure"? There was none. The FCC couldn't care less if a classical music format is saved or not. KDFC's ratings were very good (which you can see on this website), but skewed older than Entercom wants in their portfolio of stations.

Once again, I say that if anybody was really listening to KUSF it would have shown up in the Arbitron PPM or in Arbitron diaries before the switch. I think the only people who listened to KUSF were the DJs. This is not enough to make a format worth saving.

Correct there was no FCC pressure but I agree that KDFC was leaning more towards an Older audience also I agree that KUSF was primarily listend to Broadcasting Majors or communications media majors. Also Classical Music you have to listen to this format by yourself in a room. you can't just share it to the public the same way you would like rap or rock music to others. Also I have to agree that Colleges like have to cut a section of their budgets to make Tuition to be "A little Bit affordable" even though college tuition is really rising very fast.
