Good ole Mark Jordan

While very little is said about sales on this board I would like to acknowledge the retirement of Mark Jordan from the radio industry. Over the last 35 years Mark has left a major footprint in the Cincinnati market both as an account executive, a coach and a manager. Anyone who has worked with Mark will know that he is a true gentleman and he has assisted many people in their radio careers. It was Mark who inspired me to go into radio sales and I take pride in the fact that he took my on my very first radio sales call. I actually borrowed his breifcase to try a call by myself.

Mark has been planning and looking forward to beginning his career in real estate. His reputation in Clermont County will no doubt yeild him much future success in this industry.

Best wishes my friend and thank you for that you have done for radio

There's another good one that Cume-less let get away.

I worked with Mark Jordan for many years at 96.5 and have to say he was a true professional and really knew how to sell ideas. Best of Luck Jordan.

WLYK. A definite blast from the past. My first interview (at 16) was with Perry Samuels. (Little known fact: The song "They're coming to take me away"-Napoleon XIV is Perry's Brother).

I knew his dad, Ralph, very well. Ralph got me into ham radio in 1974. He was certainly the cream of the crop. I used to love to hear hiis radio stories.

My favorite Mark Jordan moment.....
When he wrecked the Toby Tough Truck the day before the promotion. And then Dan Swenson was able to use the F-Word as every type of word. I believe the phrase he said was, "F**k! F**k!! F**kity!!! F**k!! F**k!! F**k!!" Now say what you will about Dan Swenson, but that is creative right there.

Does anyone think it's funny that Mark is going into real estate on the east side of town. I guess he missed competing with Tim Clossen so much, he decided to join his new career field. Clossen had his picture posted on the back of all the carts at a local white trash Kroger on the Ohio Pike in Amelia.

Good Luck Mark!!!

He was agreat guy. I listened to him for years without a complaint.
I hope he does just as well moving first time home buyers into FHA is need of major rehabing homes.

I worked with Mark for only two years, but count him among my good friends for the last fifteen or so.
A true gentleman, I would work with him (or FOR him) anytime.
I wish him the very best.
Chuck J.
