Good syndicated shows that have aired on BAD stations!

Steve Harvey, Dr. Phil and FABLife all air on WWJ-62 Detroit, which is a laughable, pass-through CBS station in Michigan's largest city. NO NEWS DEPARTMENT!! Are you kidding me?! They also air Family Feud and Two and a Half Men reruns.
Judge Judy, Steve Harvey and some trash talk/other court shows air on WPGX-28 Panama City, a Fox station with no news department, not even 9PM CT news. They are running the station as if it was 1993! News on Fox stations is normal nowadays.

Given that Panama City is DMA rank #154, perhaps Raycom doesn't want to invest in a news division for WPGX. The lion's share of ratings for local news seems to go to WJHG and WMBB.

Similarly, ABC affiliate WATM in Altoona, Pennsylvania hasn't broadcast any local news since 2011.

Years ago, Live! with Regis & Kathie Lee/Kelly, Oprah Winfrey, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy! were all on WGTU in Traverse City, which is (and always has been) a distant third in its market and didn't have full market coverage for years. Live! is now on WWTV, while Wheel and Jeopardy! are on now-sister station WPBN and Oprah moved to WPBN (I think when Rosie O'Donnell's show was cancelled)
