Some stations contrive host-vs-host on-air rivalries, to cycle listeners from-show-to-show. I read somewhere how -- on stations on-which a local host adjacent to Rush Limbaugh is El Rushbo's political opposite -- the station will pepper Limbaugh's show with zingers from the local host...SEEMING to be picking-a-fight, while all-the-while hitch-hiking Maha Rushie's audience.

Would we be giving them too much credit to suspect a ploy?

The End of Charles

A friend of mine who works at 75 Oxford St. said they axed Charles from the night show on Tuesday for "budget purposes".

They must be running best of.

How much of a budget cut could this be anyway?He's still on HJY I assume and making a ton of money.Same "budget cut" cited when Peck was ousted and Rick Everett who probably earns more was hired?Some radio people are quite simply pricing themselves through the roof and stations are finding that billing doesn't change without them.
