Good Times and Great Classic Hits

New imaging for "Q104.5" and some actual jingles (I believe the only Seattle station to use them)
Trying to play on the past success of "Good Times & Great Oldies KBSG"

It sounds like we are going back to overplayed crap! Thanks KMCQ.

Yeah, how DARE KMCQ try to appeal to more than the 24 people on this board who were listening? ::)

(waiting for the rest of the gang to be along with their "little arrows"... :p)

If it goes the route of 95.7 or the old 97.3 KBSG, it's going off the preset list. Their 60s/70s style was wonderful.

Speaking of arrows, did you ever send JJ Hemingway an apology?

Who needs arrows to knock you down when people like you already have a tunnel vision problem?

Does this station normally stream? I see they have a webstream but it did not work last night and still doesn't work this morning. They don't work on TuneIn, either.

Maybe it's best KMCQ just shut down right now so there's no more endless whining over the playlist.

Imagine that. A station playing the greatest testing songs in a high rotation, with jingles, imaging and the slogan of a station that used to get a 5 share 25-54. Seems stupid to me. You are going to blow off everyone on radio-info. I'd just stick with the wide playlist, bad imaging and enjoy the one share 25-54. LOL.

Wonder if Jay Kelly and the old KBSG staff will be back? Where are they?

Who cares? Jay Kelly stinks and ruined every station he programmed.

A predictably snide and sarcastic post from Jack Griffin. I repeat the earlier question. Did you ever send an apology to J.J. Hemingway for your rude and pathetic comment about his new gig? At least J.J. is a class act.

Are they playing more pop than KJR-FM? I've been streaming KJR some lately and notice that they have a narrow playlist with a significant rock and pop/rock slant with very few pop/disco/R&B tracks that are staples in the classic hits format. Pretty dull to be the only classic hits station in the market (until now). I think this could have some potential against them, and the move makes sense as it will be more mass appeal, going by what I have read here.

I'll be streaming this station whenever their webstream works again. Always exciting to hear a new classic hits station in a large market!

wow, yep, such excitement here. oh hey buddy, once youve heard one "fun times, and great hits"oldies hits station in any large market, youve heard em all......but yet, what excitement huh hearing 1 or 2% of the charted hits of the60's, 70's and 80's as determined by centralized programming control...yep, im excited, are you all excited too? i may never sleep again.

Indeed a carbon copy of KBSG. But more tolerable than KJR in terms of variety, IMHO. Of course, KJR sets the bar close to the ground...

It was based on the 2011-2012 programming. Going forward it's highly unlikely that a standardized classic hits station would receive that type of recognition.
