Good weekend syndicated shows?

Any suggestions for good weekend syndicated programs? ...especially ones that are actually "live?" ..and not ones that are on every Clear Channel talk station around the country.

I'm looking for stuff to run after 12noon on Saturdays and/or Sundays.

Thanks

Handel on the Law is a Premiere show, but not as widely played. Very entertaining. Also, The Tasting Room with Tom Leykis has been picking up, and while it's much more sophisticated than his weekday show, it would appear to make for good NTR.

Both shows above possess two of the more obnoxious hosts on the weekend...please disregard those choices...both host appeal only to "angry" meat-eaters/Spike-TV/Fox lovers...my opinion and thats all it is....

Alternatives....

Leo Laporte - does a great Tech show on KfI and could be a good choice

Laura Flanders - on AAR does an excellent show

Doug Stephan - does an interesting turn on Talk Shows during the weekend (i dont like Stephan) but his show should have appeal to many.

If you could get an ok, you might want to consider simulcasting some of the KGO weekend fare...if they would allow it, KGO has great programming all the time.

The movie show - its a good 2 hours summation of whats coming out of hollywood...and i like it sometimes, its a pace-changer...but not sure if its live all the time, sometimes they take calls.

Thom Hartmann - his show would not be live but its great for the weekend as well if you don't have him on your schedule.

Ill keep mentioning some great hosts that could be gotten for weekend gigs...

Arnie Arnesen
Jay Diamond
Meria Heller

Any one of those 3 could host and do well on the weekends.....

Please disregard the above poster... he's a left wing schill who can only find shows that deal with Greenpeace and endangered caribou entertaining.

Excellent host; does a better job than Komando or the other syndicated shows, but problem is... he's not syndicated. And I doubt he'd stay on KFI if he were.

> Laura Flanders - on AAR does an excellent show

Not bad, but doesn't fit the mold of most talkers. She's good FOR THE LIBERAL FORMAT. But no one's going to affiliate with AAR just to get her show.

Ah, yes, the king of the unrated market. Heard in the Osh Koshes and Chicos of the nation.

Um, KGO is local and it's going to stay that way.

Again, shows how one-sided and ideoelogical you are. No honest advice from you.

Pal, he's asking for syndicated shows. The poster doesn't want to spend money. These people aren't syndicated and never will be. Send me your address and I'll pay you $500 when any of these people get a mainstream syndication deal with more than three statins. Heck, Meria Heller is still talking into a $5 Wal-Mart microphone to an audience of the size of about a Wal-Mart checkout line.

Yes; an interest broadcaster is a much better option than a guy who has the #1 show among listeners 12+ in Los Angeles... or the guy who's afternoon show is similarly #1 among talk shows.

Based on all the above, I think the answer is just "no"...there are no good weekend syndicated shows. :)
