Goodbye 1960 Union Ave.

By the way, a few people have figured out my name, which is fine. It was never meant to be a secret. I'm John Buffaloe, former part timer on air at WZZQ, Jackson, MS, 1975, afternoon drive KPRI San Diego for a whopping six months 1975-1976 (well, you know, politics, and I stunk on air, but put copy in front of me and I can read it first time through. "One take Johnny" as several production directors and my wife call me), Operations Manager and Norte Americano engineer XETRA AM/FM 1976-1985, Director of Engineering Jefferson Pilot Communications of CA 1985-2005, and then there was this really horrible year in New Orleans working for a couple of outfits I'd rather forget.

I'm currently helping move the Entercom stations into Moriah Park and proudly working with Mike Schwartz and Skip Reynolds to get it done (many challenges) and I volunteer for WEVL for their studio needs (one of the last great surviving non-coms in the U.S. that truly serves the public interest IMHO.)

"RadeoEngineer" is intentionally mispelled, just so ya' know.

So there Brian.

Since I'm out of the loop geographically, is that the same Mt. Moriah where the Flinn World Headquarters is located?

By my guesstimate, it's west of Mt Moriah, east of Perkins, and just north of 240. But I wouldn't really know, cause I didn't get an invite.

It's a business park at Mt. Moriah and the north side of 240. Nice neighborhood by the way. Ball parks, 3 Little Pigs just down the road, Radio Schlock and Home Depot just a three minute drive, CK's, cigs and gas just down the road, and Huey's Poplar only five minutes away. You can see the FedEx trucks go by on the freeway from the control rooms. Nice location indeed.

Great story Rob. Miss hearing from you...wish you were with us. It would be perfect.

I remember walking in on Union and this HUUUUGE wrassler was standing just inside the door. I looked at him, he looked at me and he growled at me. I stopped and looked up and said, "Don't start, I am NOT the one", he just laughed. ;D (I also remember helping Steve during mid-days and organizing his album library) ;)
