KFTW-LP, 97.5 in Ft. Worth turned in their license today.

Saw that on the LPFMDatabase Facebook page.

What was it playing last?

It costs time and money to run a radio station, even an LP one. I think for some, they consider it a novelty, and then the novelty part wears off. Plus, if there are few listeners to your limited range signal, what's the point?

Lots of folks say they want to support local artists, but I suspect that "support" means "friends and pitchers of beer", not just listening on the radio.
