Goodbye Braves on TBS

I'm confused on this.

The Atlanta Braves will still be on some form of TBS since 1973.

Is this only for the Superstation/Basic Cable Era?

Did it start in 1977 or 1982?

Turner Sports now

TBS (MLB and College Football)

TNT (NASCAR, NBA and the British Open)

It's not too shavy ;D

so since turner south cant even be gooten in louisiana this means i can no longer see any braves games? this sucks! smooth move tbs.. ::)

Question for me in this article ... it says TBS could still carry the Braves in its home territory? Wouldn't that necessitate a Southeast-only feed for TBS and one for the rest of the country IN ADDITION to having the local Channel 17? Had it said the Braves would be syndicated like some sort of television network in the Southeast, I wouldn't even ask. But the wording was odd there.

There will not be a "Southeast only" feed of WTBS. If you do not live within range of the WTBS OTA signal, or receive it on your cable system, such as those in the metro Atlanta area, then you will not be able to watch the Braves on WTBS. Having said that, WTBS is working with stations throughout the SE to syndicate the games.

i live in louisiana. i guess i am screwed..i am a huge braves game. i am listning to the braves st louis game sas i type this via mlb online.(wgst) the games will be available on the mlb package from directtv want they?

Syndicating the games throughout the southeast is a good idea. However, when they had the previous Braves TV Network (before Turner South), some of the affiliates didn't carry all of the games. For example, WIS in Columbia, South Carolina never carried any primetime games that interrupted it's NBC programming.

Anybody know when we will get Braves in HD on Directv in Atlanta? Fox has recently added an occasional game on CH 96 HD..
