Goodbye, Fritz...

I'm sure he will land on his feet. He's a great guy!

Fritz M. was with Susquehanna pre-1990, at least as a part timer, working for Charlie Morgan when CM was the PD for FMS.

well Lets See Indy has done the all 70's format on 93.1 as WNAP, 93.9 Did all 80's as Retro, and Sacramento a while back got the first all 90's station. Will Indy Be Market #2 for all 90's if 93.9 flips again

I had the pleasure of meeting Fritz at the QMIX fireworks show in Columbus a few hours ago...he seemed very happy---he's taking this exodus as a good thing.

Hearing lots of the old Song folks on 88.3 The Walk these days.

He has landed on his feet in front of a microphone. Scan the "just outside the metro" radio dial Monday morning & chances are you'll hear him again.

Yet another shake up in Columbus. Keeps the market on their toes. It will be good to hear Fritz on the air again. Truly one of the good guys in the biz.

Long time reader, first-time poster!
Now that Fritz is heading for Columbus, perhaps he can be of serivce to Reising in getting his new (old) station back on the air.
Reising purchased the remains of WXCH, now on 102.9 MHz, and currently licensed to Hope Indiana. It can easily be licensed for 6,000 watts from the WRZQ tower in Newbern, putting a decent signal over Columbus, Greensburg, Shelbyville, North Vernon and Franklin.
The big question now is, what will the format be? Will Fritz play a role in this or will Keith Maddox, outgping PD at WRZQ have a roll in the new station.
Big Kahuna

Couple of questions here. Will Keith Maddox remain in the building or return to the Fort Wayne area? As far as format, why wouldn't Mr Reising just make it a religious station and put it on the network with the rest of his religious stations? Or does Fritz go in to become a corporate PD of sorts and overseee all of the religious stations of Mr Reising as well as Qmix and Korn?
