I must say that the departure of the Regular Guys has been great for Atlanta radio. They were boring blowhards who could not walk by a mirror without staring at themselves for lengthy periods of time. We, not knowing any better, with very little to choose from, had the opinion that they were half way decent out of our ignorance. Hopefully now the corporate suits will at least try to fill the slot with someone original, creative, personable, and entertaining. Goodbye RG's. You were boring and the piper had to be paid.

you know of course that you didnt have to listen to them dont you.some of us liked them.as for a creative replacement.you think clear channle would do something like that?you will be stuck with a non local show like rick and bubba or bob and to. i say you because i have sirius and will only listen to the kimmer on regular radio now as corperate radio is horrible.

Yes, it is as simple as a turn of the dial (or push of an alternate button) if you do not like what you hear. I have a feeling we will be hearing you complain about their replacement at some point in the future.

...and reporting them to the FCC for "fun".

DIAF. Dont know what that means? Check out Fark.Com.

The RG's were fired because Chico and the man (or whatever their names are) blackmailed Clear Channel by playing the race card. And CC buckled because they knew there was only a few months left on the Regs contracts and that the show was going to break up at that time anyhow because Eric would no longer sign with Larry. So in order to prevent a Hispanic boycott and uprising (which never looks good to clients and stockholders) they figured they'd get out early. They probably could support a "termination for cause" claim with Larry and figured they'd roll the dice and possibly settle with Eric if it ever came down to it. So while CC may have been wrong in not paying out (at least) Eric's contract, the real scumbags in the story are Paco and Taco.

oh please. if you really believed cc wasn't going to re-sign trgs and just got out of it early because of the incredibly bad radio stallgate incident, you wouldn't be so bitter and racist right now.

the ratings on the show were solid at worst.. if you didn't like the show that's fine but when your top 7 or better 25-54 and top 5 18-34 in atlanta, you are at least solid! why be a jealous jackass?

It's in poor taste to celebrate the poor play of another. - paraphrasing Robert Trent Jones.

I will miss them. Let's hope Larry podcasts.

Based on what was said there is no racism (or bigotry), just some name calling. I think Yogi and Panda (Taco and Paco) are a couple of insolent jerks that have dug their own hole. At some point in time they are going to look up and see someone shoveling dirt for the purpose of covering their arses up! Them boys had best watch their backs as CC will be reminding them of the consequences of their actions.

Read my post. Of course TRG had good ratings and CC would have wanted to re-sign them, but Eric didn't want to re-sign. He had made it known to them shortly before this whole thing going down that he was done working with Larry.
