Goodbye to another true "character" of our industry

Sad to report that Roger W. Cavaness finally lost his five-year battle with prostate cancer this past Saturday. He was 63. Services will be at Delhomme Funeral Home, LafayetteLA this Thursday (2/14) at 10am.
Roger was part of that incredible WTIX krewe back in the 60s. Later, he and GM Eric Anderson were the New York Giants to WDIA's New England Patriots, as WLOK actually knocked off that Memphis soul power house for a few books.
In his final 20 years, Roger owned stations in Lafayette, Alexandria, and his hometown, EuniceLA.
Whether ya loved him or hated him -- not many fence-straddlers where The Rozh was concerned -- it was always the highest octane in entertainment when he was in the house.
R I P, bro. :(
