Goodbye to The Tube

Woke up today and one of my favorite music video channels is gone.

The Tube has ceased operations.

Locally WTXX which has been running The Tube on 20.2 now has up a slide talking about The Tubes demise.
 
WLVI Boston dropped it early Sunday.

56-2 off air is a blank signal No audio no video

296 on Comcast is just gone. The box gioes from 282 (CMT) to 297 (WHDH Weather plus)
 
Verizon FIOS just has the black screen where The Tube was - ch.862.
I guess for those who like older music videos there's always VH1 Classic or
Soundtrack Channel.
 
In fact, now playing on VH1 Classic: "The Doors" - the 1988 movie.
