Goodbye VH1 Mega Hits

I spoke with Adeplhia Customer Service (of what it is) and they told me that Logo (at least in Virginia) will be part of the digital basic pages (the 100s)...VH1 Mega Hits is on channel 161 here in VA, so that is where it will be.

Also, in August they will be launching a whole bunch of new channels too...not sure yet what (but that is for another post).

Rock On,

I wonder if some cable systems are putting the channel in the premiums, just because it deals with a lifestyle some (especially Christians) aren't comfortable with.

I don't think the cable systems have a choice about where to put the channel. From what I understand, VH1 Mega Hits (along with MTV Hits, VH1 Classic, and VH1 Country) are part of a "digital suite" network package that's available only to digital cable subscribers. With LOGO replacing VH1 Mega Hits, it will continue to be part of that suite (although I wonder if MTV Networks will make this network available independent of the suite). So it seems like it's MTV Networks' decision to make it a digital-only channel, not the cable systems.

Though it's against the point on my cable system (Bright House in Tampa Bay), where you need digital cable to get any premium channels.
