Gospel Music Channel

Hey guys how is it going today, anyway i dont know if this has been posted yet and im also not sure if this is the right place for it, but here goes, The Black Family Channel has Ceased Their televison broadcasts and in place of the BFC is the Gospel Music Channel.

What are your thoughts?
Have you watched before?
is this a waste of a channel?
Would love to hear from yall.
God Bless

I've seen samples of it during intermissions at concerts, and it's pretty good, although I like the one Sky Angel has better (I think it's called Spirit).

The Gospel Music Channel's Biggest problem is keeping a consistant audience. Since the term "Gospel" music means any kind of "Contemporary Christian Music" this channel presents Gospel, Country, Rock, Rap, Southern Gospel and others. So they are trying to Super-Serve everyone, main problem I doubt Toby Mac's audience really cares about a Vestal Goodman Tribute Concert. Interesting idea, just a little too broad, to build a consistent audience.

I had a chance to watch the "Gospel Music Channel" several days ago when they
showed a "Front Row Live" concert with Micheal W. Smith, which i'm sure has
repeated numerous times, but probably chose to show it for the new viewers.
They do have a Natalie Grant Special This "Mother's Day" weekend, and on
Saturday, May 19th, a concert that features the "Women Of Faith" like Sandy
Patty and Kathy Troccoli.
As far as showing blocks of different types of christian music, it doesn't bother
me, everyone has there preferences.

We already had GMC when Black Family Channel ceased to be on cable at the end of April. It was replaced on our sysyem by Jewerly Television. Oh, the excitement ::)

Re: Black Family Channel/Gospel Music Channel

Going to the Black Family Channel website gives you this message...
