Kicks sent out a press release noting that Jim Gossett, formerly of GST's Kimmer show, has joined the Kicks morning show. It isn't clear exactly what his capacity will be. Will he be in the studio or do a phone-in like he did with the Kimmer? I've left messages with Christy Ullman, Mark Richards and Cadillac to get some details. Will update as needed. Was he on this morning?

ATLANTA GA – (WKHX-FM) KICKS 101.5FM radio announces the hiring of local comedian and radio impressionist, Jim Gossett.
Jim has performed at comedy clubs coast to coast, including the Comedy Store and the Improv
in Los Angeles. He has shared the stage with comedians such as Tim Allen, Sinbad, and Rita
Rudner. Jim also has opened for countless musical acts, including Barbara Mandrell, Paul
Anka, Crystal Gayle, and Melissa Manchester.
Jim appeared as the “Newsmaker Line” on the Kim Peterson show on 640 WGST in Atlanta for eleven years. Before that, Jim was part of the top rated “O Brien in the Morning Show” on B98.5 FM. His comedy features have been heard on morning and afternoon radio shows across America since 1986 in markets such as Los Angeles, Dallas, San Diego, Chicago and New York.
Mark Richards, Operations Manager, said “Jim’s sense of humor and overall talent will bring a comedy element to the New KICKS morning show with Cadillac Jack and Kristen Gates. Jim is a local comedy legend; his writing and his characters bring to life the issues of the day in Atlanta. I can’t tell you how fun his interview was; that is Jim and the hundreds of voices that live inside him.”
Jim reports, "I am both exicted and honored to join the team at KICKS as part of the highly succesful Cadillac and Kristen morning show. Caddy and Kristen are real pros and a pleasure to work with. It's going to be a lot of fun."
Gossett will now be heard weekdays as a part of the New KICKS 101.5FM morning show.
KICKS 101.5FM is part of the ABC Radio group, a subsidiary of the Walt Disney Company.
