Listening to or seeing images of how a station once was years ago kind of gives me this supernatural "sense of time travel" feeling. It's so strange how much things change over time... There was no Soulja Boy, Rockell, Fun Factory, T-Pain, UB40, Lil Wayne, Ace of Base.... and each of those in itself has it's own sound.

I wonder what today's KIIS will sound like in 2031?
In a way, I want to find out, but at the same time I do not want to know because as time passes, things will change, people die, I'll have more to worry about than just approaching 30 within less than a couple years....etc. It's bad enough that I almost fit the demographics for the targeting audience all these prostate commercials are going after.

Our hip hop and urban is going to sound so different, just like all those (now lite rock) songs do today on a top 40 station. People like to make fun of the 80's and 90's, just wait until we hit the 00's as a back in the day time period. This by far will be the worst time period in music history. I already have my rolodex of jokes ready....

These are really interesting links. Thanks for posting them.

The second one is apparently filmed by a young Shotgun Tom Kelly.

The 1984 story on Bruce Vidal and Laurie Allen was certainly bittersweet - considering their divorce in 86, and Vidal's career tailspin and untimely death at age 54

Yeah...KRTH (if they're still around) will be playing these new "oldies" by 2031. A Parade of Hits weekend featuring Usher, Kelly Clarkson, Nelly, Brittany Spears, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Flo Rida, and T.I.
