Gov. Spitzer likes prostitutes!

Mr. Ethics and Morals is telling his top aides that he was involved in a prostitution ring....press conference is forthcoming! The NY Times will make some money this week!

Wow................I think it's time for his resignation!

I was wondering who's glass house was boarded up earlier today. I see it was Spitzer's. :D

And another "holier-than-thou" person comes crashing down. And hard!

EDITED TO ADD: Umm...perhaps the author of this thread can take a lesson or two on writing better headlines.

Somewhere in New York tonight, or more like all over NY tonight, Record company execs, A&R people, independent consultants, MD's and a cast of thousands are having one hell of a party. I am thinking Scarface quantities of Bolivian marching powder and other niceties. You meet the same people on the way down that you meet on the way up Eliot. I wonder how much the divorce is going to cost him after the feds bankrupt him with legal fees, fines, etc.

It's too bad the radio companies can't get their fine money back. I could sure use a raise.

I've talked to no less than 24 current colleagues since this went down this afternoon...the phrase "couldn't happen to a nicer guy" is what everyone is saying.

The feds need to make an example of him....transporting illegal activities across state lines is not a light charge. He should be treated the same as any drug dealer busted on the NYS thruway from Florida.

I hope he learns what "cuddling with Bubba" really means!

PS....what's wrong with the title of the thread? Was always taught to be direct & to the point!

I have been laughing all day over this.

Then I would recover, and, after I caught my breath, I'd see another story or read another headline.

Then, I would lose it all over again - tears, gasping for breath, the whole nine yards.

This has been the best afternoon in forever.

Why would Eliot hire a hooker?

1. He has a wife and three daughters. He had to hire a hooker in order to hear a female voice saying "Yes, yes, yes" and "You're RIGHT, Eliot".

2. It was cheaper than taking his wife shopping in DC - especially on the day before Valentine's Day.

MOVED: TIO: Gov. Spitzer likes prostitutes!

Some posts in this thread have gone off topic and were moved to Take It Outside.

Is this what they mean by the term"High Price Spread"? the hooker was complaining about being sluggish and not up to speed. No wonder, she had a Governor on her.heee heeee

You ask how it has nothing to do with radio Rocky? How does it not? The guy that cost radio companies & record labels millions of $$$ because he went nuts over less than 24 bad people...is a hypocrite!

Because of the $$$ spent on lawyers & such...he cost people jobs...it''s a trickle down effect! C'mon........how do you not see that?

Speaking of Prostitutes

Spitzer may be a hypocrite, but he was right about the corruption in the radio and recording industries. There were major corporations breaking laws. They paid millions because they were GUILTY, and they knew it. A lot more than 24 people were involved, and listeners were the ones who paid the biggest price in rigged playlists and "spin programs" that inflated sales for inferior product.

C'mon.......how do you not see that?

Not saying there wasn't spin programs (mainly on records that didn't make it anyway)...bottom line, the hits didn't need the help. More of a case of labels trying to spawn some kind of story (illegally).

I'm talking about the 25 or so people that were actually ID'd for taking personal delivery of things for themselves (TV's, trips for family & friends, etc.) Elliott once said it was still against "his law" for a station to request promotional support after said station decided on it's own knowledge & ability to add a record...then 6 weeks later...want a pair of tickets to giveaway for the show that was coming into town.

Hmmm....the 80K he supposedly spent on these girls...even if it came from campaign money...payola. Came from taxpayer money, illegal!

If he doesn't get prosecuted...I'll be sick for the rest of my life!

Play for Pay

Spitzer comes from money. He could afford to pay for play from his own money, not campaign or public funds. Either way, he's toast. The biggest question is whether jail is in his future.

The payola problem wasn't with requesting funds. The problem was with playing for pay without disclosing that the spins were paid for by the record company.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!

There goes his chance at earning a volume bonus with escort service! 80K so far they've uncovered him spending on this thru the past 8 months....not to mention there's still more for them to investigate.
