Man I'm bummed.
Heard today this is his last week on the air.
I liked his show because he would have guests on and you could learn something new. I don't know of anyone else running their show like this anymore, locally..
What a loss.

BTW, I've listened to local talkradio since the 80's.
 
Its a conspiracy! It was the Illuminati flying in black helicopters with NWO because Charles knew the Truth!


He was good for some unintentional laughs, but his show just kept getting kookier and kookier each week.
 
Maybe he will fill in for NOORI? I think he married a space alien from the Philipines.
 
I think with the departure of Hannity to Premere, and NTN holding out on Laura... It could make for a conspiracy theory of it's own.

But I had been initially instructed in broadcast by Charles. He's good man, hopefully he'll find what he is looking for out there. I once had the pleasure of running his weekends on KFYI. I didn't realize that until reciently, I even remember applying to produce him in Phoenix at another station.

He's being replaced by Imus In The Morning. Imus announced it this morning on his show.

Another brilliant programming move by the clueless Francis. Imus doesn't get ratings ANYWHERE except New York

I also worked with him. Very talented and a nice guy. A real broadcaster. His dedicated showed itself in his work. I wish him well, too. We had a small discussion about 1100 and guessed that they'd put Imus on...just a guess but we were right on!

Nobody really believes these uninformed hit-and-runs on Goyette do they? I never hear the tinfoil hat stuff when I tune into his show and it's rarely 'kooky' when I listen. My best guess is that this post his was written by someone who either doesn't listen to Charles's show or has some personal axe to grind with him. Most times I hear him I'm honestly amazed by the breadth of discussion and guests he's able to pull. In just the last few weeks or so I swear he's had on people like Harry Reid, Pat Buchanan, Richard Clarke, someone from 60 Minutes and a nobel-prize winning economist. On a crappy little station like 1100 it's mind boggling how he's able to do it. And his questions and insights are great not the usual lightweight softballs--the guy is a great host. I mean, what else is on in the morning? Bruce Jacobs? Talk about unintentional laughs!
 
I tune him in for a minute or two each morning, and its always the same old thing: Bush lied, federal reserve, New World Order, and "I love Ron Paul"

And the callers are all about "Amero", one world government, and 911 truth.

Its the kooky fringe. Doing a show for one half of one percent of people is not a great idea.

You're right. Charles' show always had real content, and meaningful guests. For those who know what it takes to put together a show like that on a daily basis, those "Hit and Run" comments can only be ignored...maybe they are attempting humor.

Goyette was great on KFYI when management was able to keep him bridled and on a steady course. When he forgot that talk radio is merely entertainment, that is when he started having problems holding it together.

That said, I wish Charles only the best in his next job in or out of radio.

I'm with you. It's all about entertainment. Those crazies that bother me with the facts are just a trouble-making minority. I say, Let's stay with everybody else here in the Matrix, the Kool-Aid is so comforting. And...yeah, CNN Rules!
 
I listened for about a half hour today when he had Todd Hartley on, and it was great. They talked about the old shows and controversies and such, and that is the Charles Goyette that had a good show.

Back when he was railing against the cards and undercovering Jeff Groscost's alt fuel and Harry Mitchell stealing signs, those were great times.

What his show turned into however was crap.

Todd Hartley was Goyette's producer on KFYI--a good guy, too!
 
Its all a cover-up. The real Goyette was kidnapped by the CIA 5 months ago and taken to a secret interogation center in Uzbeckastan. He was replace by a double, who is leaving radio.
