GPB and WATC sign off

GPB signed off WGTV/8 and the other stations as promised at Midnight. They broadcast their longtime signoff/signon montage set to Ray Charles' "Georgia On My Mind" prior to signing off...complete with old GPTV logo.

I know that WATC broadcast a special on the history of television...but I don't know how they signed off.

Well, I can pick up all of the digital signals except WGTV/8 and WATC. I called GPTV and they said the Atlanta signal is at full power, however, the Savannah is at reduced power.

You're not the only one. The OTA signals from GTV's downtown xmtr were working just fine until the switchover. Now it's just a black screen, and nothing in the Info window. All the other OTA DTV signals we've been watching are still fine, so it's fairly clear that something's "not quite right" at GPB. I'll be very curious to see how long this situation remains.

Maybe somebody tripped over a power cord somewhere. :D

I assume WGTV-HD is broadcasting at full power from the Stone Mountain transmitter site. I cannot pick up the HD signal and I live near WAGA.

Can someone tell me if WABW-DT GPB (Pelham) is on full power? Some areas in Tallahassee Fla can pick up WABW-DT from Downtown to the northside of Tallahassee toward Thomasville. I thought WABW-DT will be covered the big bend of north florida like Tallahassee,Crawfordville,Madison,Qunicy, I guess I have to wait utill June 12th? to get WABW in full power as thier singal expands to get more people to watch WABW-GPB on 14-1 and 14-2 and 14-3. I call GPB headqauters and they said WABW-DT is on full power but I guess not all the Tallahassee area can get WABW-DT at this time.
