Right now, K98 carries a satelite-delivered hot AC format from Jones Radio Networks (has for years). The owner appears to have good since in knowing who to sell it to. Good for everybody in Northwest Georgia.

WKCX's signal gets into Acworth and Kennesaw pretty good, so residents in Cobb County will now have a choice in Public Radio (especially during WABE classical music time).

WKCX's competeor, WQTU/Q102 has a pretty poor signal in comparison. I believe Mr. McDougal sold his stations (Q and WRGA) to Southern Broadcasting (owner of WTSH/South 107) a while back.

Also, with WSRM 95.3 on the air (now simulcasting WRGA), and the Atlanta move in and possible sale of 107.1, it will be intersting to see what develops up in the Coosa Valley over the next couple of years.

So what happens to their HS football broadcasts on Friday nights in the Fall?

Will they switch to a NPR talk type format or will they play music?

Thanks
