Graeme Edge of the Moody Blues

That's two Moodies recently. There is an excellent story of the band on YouTube. One of my all-time favorites. :(
 
Great band and real gentleman. Had the pleasure of speaking with Edge, Justin Hayward and John Lodge a few times.
Edge contributed the spoken word poetry on the records. Amazing musicians in the studio and in concert...

One of my favorite things The Moody Blues did was the "Late Lament" spoken word section toward the end of Nights in White Satin. For some reason it always takes me back to my childhood and what it must have been like to look into the windows of the various houses in the early evening to see what was happening in each one.

Late Lament was written by Edge and recited by keyboard player Mike Pinder on the album. Most times when in concert and backed by a live orchestra, Edge recited the Late Lament himself.
