They could well be graft...Howie's various personal younger-looking moves have been a combination
of graft and advertising, for RKO. I haven't found much reason to listen to WTKK; my leftist sister says she loves Jim and Margery (ha)...Doug Meehan? Nice guy, but haven't found reason to listen.
Smerconish? Yuck. Graham? Double yuck. And so on.
>>WTKKK
Interestingly enough, when the Don Imus/Rutgers flap occurred, Howie Carr had some fun with it and referred to the station by those calls. Imus got dumped by his flagship and thus was off WTKK...who
decided, a short time later, that Howie would make an ideal morning drive host. Then Howie spilled
the beans...and you know the rest. Ironic, that he'd planned to join the station he made fun of in
that way! (The WTKK website was all set to feature Howie's morning show, "Carr (chocolate) bars"
were set to be given out--later Howie would give them out at public appearances--etc.
For the record, btw the KKK was started by Southern Democrats and legendary Dem. Senator
Robert Byrd belonged to it. (I'm listening to an audiobook about the killing of Republican President
Abraham Lincoln, the guy who freed the slaves, but I digress...The audiobook was co-written and narrated by a highly rated Fox News host. What say you?*)
Howie's contract with RKO is up in less than a year. Money wise he may well stick with em but would
we hear HC on WTKK or WXKS (AM)? (Eagan and Braude and I think Graham are under contract
with Greater till 2013 I think. So was Jay Severin, but he's now on the interference-laden AM
band instead...)
*---...who used to be on WTKK, then left radio when it appeared he couldn't beat Rush in the ratings.

I love the remix of his "blowup" on YouTube. We'll do it live!!
