I can't stand Graham myself and think giving him 4 hours is a mistake but the chess game is understandable.

He's always had four hours... he was on 10-2

If memory serves me correct, I believe he originally had a 3 hour slot and was doing his show after Imus and before J&M. I believe J&M started at 12 originally and ran to Severino's 3pm start

Oops! I believe you are right. Forgive my previous somewhat snarky reply. :)

If that's the case then good, but I also know awhile back an NPR show, probably Morning Edition,
had a weekly segment profiling conservative figures. 7 minutes long per week. They got protests
from their core listeners about this...bias. If you want left-leaning public radio, fine, but you pay for
it. Don't ask me to pay for it.

How about if NPR was mostly conservative and your tax dollars paid for it?

OK, you may get your wish in the next budget conference, and public radio and TV may be cut off from Federal funding as some it has already been cut off from state and local funding. But I'm a really swell fellow, and I deserve to have MY wishes fulfilled too: that Federal, state, county and local taxes be imposed on churches and "religious" institutions wherever possible, starting with John Haggee when he gets back from the Becka palloza.

Graham has worked every hour of TKK's broadcast day, except from 2 pm to 3 pm

he came on at the beginning when TKK pulled Severin off the air after it was announced he signed a contract with Westwood One

when Jay Severin Has Issues was cancelled, GRaham took that slot.

when Imus got fired by CBs, Barnicle filled in for a time and Graham worked after him 9 to noon or 10 to noon.(this was around the time that they tried to hire Howie

When Barnicle quit, Graham did morning drive. When Imus came back, Graham followed him each day, now he is in drive-time again

Kenendy article in Globe

http://www.boston.com/bostonglobe/e.../25/radio_jokes_expose_bias_against_dwarfism/

"Her alleged offense was asking that she be allowed to use a stool or a stepladder.

Starbucks executives, to their credit, took Sallard’s claims seriously. Graham did not. And one of his guests, an alleged comedian named Karl Zahn, thought it would be a real howler if he told a joke about liking dwarf waitresses because he can leave his dishes on their heads."

I can understand the sensitivities involved--not nice-- but isn't this what you'd expect from the station, if not worse?

I heard Dan Ray the other night suggesting that Dem's were canvassing nursing homes looking for potential voters. I don't believe it. Isn't a lie more offensive than a stupid remark?

I can't get offended by talk radio because that's what it supposed to do.
