Giada takes a look at the extravagant Grammy after party.

Note: This is the show that bounces the local L.A. professional sports teams out of their building for long road trips. The NBA's Lakers are on the road for 8 games (1/21-2/1); the NBA's Clippers are away for 8 games (1/21-2/3); the NHL's Kings are gone for 5 games (1/23-1/31).

Not live (delayed broadcast) in the Mountain and Pacific time zones.

I haven't been interested in the Grammy show for years, ever since the darn kids got control of the show. I don't know much about their "music". I don't feel like I'm missing much.

Just a geezer.

You know times have changed when the Food Network plans more coverage of the Grammy Awards than MTV.

It is pathetic that so few of the awards are presented on air. I heard today it was nine. In past years, hasn't more awards been presented on air? I would be happy with at least 20.

The Grammy ratings over the past few years have gotten worse and worse. Not as bad as the Tony Awards or People's Choice Awards, but far fewer than the Oscars and Emmys. It's why there is original programming going up tomorrow night against the Grammy's because they're easy to beat.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if there's a huge controversy about the Grammys tonight something towards the censors and the way someone will act. I would make a pretty good guess that Adam Lambert and Lady GaGa would be behind it or possibly the Michael Jackson tribute will be included in a part of it too. That and the fact that most of the about 100 awards given out will be before the actual awards are held is the main reason why I haven't watched the Grammys in years. But the more controversy they get, the sooner the Grammys will go in the way of The Miss America Pageant and will be a nothing show hosted by a host of nothings and will be on a channel that will have nothing to do with anything remotely associated with music.

The grammys were good in the old days, now the tunes stink, the show will follow. The only reason I will be tuned in tonight.singer Stevie Nicks will appear on the show, shes my fave, also to see who wins the country music grammys also the Michael Jackson tribute,
forget Lady Gaga and the other crap.

I taped it so I can't read this yet. I did watch the part after 11, and there were significant sound problems during one of the performances.

I enjoyed "How High the Moon". Even though this person who must have been Jeff Bewck, whoever that is, played the guitar sort of rock style, I still liked it.

I gave up on the Grammys three years ago when they gave those has-beens the Dixie Chicks all those Grammys over the more deserving up-and-comers. But then, the Grammys have a history of awarding has-beens, just never so obviously before! ::)

Today I still dont understand why Nora Jones Won a truck load of Grammys years back ,To me she's ok,but the others in the same category should of got the Grammy,The same thing that goes with the oscars,A movie I never heard of wins the big one.
