Grammy winning reality

Original American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson, won a Grammy tonite for her hit "Breakaway" in the Favorite Pop Hit category. Nominees in her category included Gwen Stefani and 3 or 4 others I've managed to forget now that I'm writing this post. She seemed pretty down to earth in her thank-you speech. What kind of coup (for Fox) it would be for her to make a guest appearance on AI later in the season especially following the dustup a few weeks ago when she supposedly would not allow her songs to be sung on AI and received criticism from, who else, Simon Cowell.

Previous AI winner (I think she won, didnt she? AI3 maybe?), Fantasia, also appeared tonite as a performer amongst a group that included Steven Tyler, the return of Sly and the Family Stone, and some gorgeous creature named Sierra (I'm guessing that's how her name is spelled). I'd never heard of Sierra but she's gorgeous (have I mentioned she's gorgeous), sounds great, and looked spectacular in her little black dress! I was really hoping for a wardrobe malfunction. I'm such a pig!! It's beyond my imagination how Fantasia won AI. All she did was scream and I thought she sounded horrendous.

Mariah Carey, on the other hand, sounded and looked great. As did Faith Hill. And some gorgeous creature named...ummm..Sierra.

Thats Ciara!
Fantasia did win AI3.

But I'm stunned that Kelly Clarkson won two Grammys. She deserved it.

Best performances were the Madonna/Gorillaz collabo and the return of Sly And The Family Stone.
