Grand Ole Opry on GAC

I'v been watching The Grand Ole Opry on GAC for some time now.I like to know what is their problem on having a spotty coverage of the show,I remember the old TNN,"Oh god I miss them so much" had every saturday night on live.GAC has repeats of the same shows. and one live show a month, and I will see that same show repeated two months later. Is this the deal with WSM/Gaylord.Has anybody notice this.

Plus, I think the OPRY is at the Ryman Auditorium right now...do they ever air the shows at the Ryman?

Absolutely! GAC recently aired an Opry Christmas show from the Ryman.

From what I have heard, the GAC deal is for 26 weeks of live shows 26 weeks of repeat shows. Also, they have the pick of what weeks they want to show live. Some of the new shows that GAC has shown in the past year were not Saturday night Opry shows, but actually shows from the Tuesday night Opry that they taped as presented as a "new, live" show. The recent show with Martina McBride and Carrie Underwood that was shown the Saturday before Christmas was actually a previously taped Tuesday night show. As far as the upcoming GAC Opry schedule, all of the January shows are repeat shows. Most of February will be live shows as that is a ratings month.
