Grandmother attacks news crew with hoe

http://www.wesh.com/news/20545083/detail.html

A news crew from WESH/Orlando was investigating a 15-year-old who was working at a strip club. When the crew went to the girl's home, the grandmother came out with a garden hoe, and hit the camera with the hoe. A police report was filed, but no word on charges. No one was seriously hurt.

Well at least the WESH crew got off lucky. I can remember what happened to a WJLA Washington DC crew back in the early 80's when they tried to interview a man for a story. Not only did he slap the female reporter so hard she lost a tooth but actually threw a hammer at a WJLA mini-cam. The force of that hit destroyed the camera.

In this case WJLA ( and the reporter ) did file charges against the man and I believe he did get some jail time out of it not to mention being forced to pay WJLA for a new camera which considering this was the early 1980's and remembering the high cost of video at the time ( still not exactly cheap )..we are talking quite a bit of money here.

Interesting I can remember this part of the sotry but not as to why WJLA wanted to interview this guy in the first place.

Good for the grandmother. If you watch the video, she asked them to leave, twice. They kept asking her questions, so she came after them with the hoe.

LOL...that was some pretty good video. She did technically tell them to get off her porch and leave her alone. In a way, I feel sorry for the grandmother, she got one good hit on the camera, seems like it didn't damage it too much, since it was still rolling.

I think the video from Friday of the father of Bonnie (I'm Kidnapped But I'm Actually At Disney World) Sweeten attacking camera crews in a Philadelphia courthouse after her daughter's sentencing takes the cake.
