Graphic Equalizer

So if I use a GRAPHIC equalizer do I have to run a disclaimer before that " what your about to hear may be offensive" ??? Sorry couldn't resist.
 
You can just about do anything as long as the station stays in bandwidth. I remember the loudness wars of the past. Listener fatigue was common. You won't get sued but good luck on the business side.

Back in the day (last century) graphic equalizers were not uncommon. You just had to lock the cover so DJ's and PD's would "improve" the sound with their adjustments.
 
No station I ever been in had a graphic slider EQ in their audio rack though I've seen pics with them in the racks of some small market stations. But overall, I remember graphic slider EQs were considered a consumer grade thing, not for professionals back in the day
