Grasping At Straws

Looks like Ashwood didn't make any New Year's resolutions, like trying to put together a half decent sports network. Shemon and Washington in the morning? It hurts me to say this, but Van Earl had more potential. If this was the best he could come up with for the morning drive, he hasn't got much. Could this be the last action of a desparate man? Besides listeners laughing, what must be going on behind the scenes at Clear Channel?

They obviously were afraid to give that shift to Ferrell because Asswood could be paying out more salary to "fired" hosts than he could have had in paying and keeping Bruno. Look at the lost major affiliates and how much money Fox has wasted trying to replace the franchise player? Ferrell is a big name, but everyone knows they had no hope of getting back any of the station they lost once the dopes at Cleer Channel decided to let Bruno go in a contract dispute.
They didn't want to stick Siciliano as a solo act because the ghost of Bruno would always haunt Andrew and that shift, so they took the easy and cheap way out: Move that awful Shemon/Washington show into the am slot that no one clears, and put Siciliano on a shift where he could earn his salary and be heard by more than 12 people.

Rome and Rush? Their empires were secured long before Asswood came on board. Asswood has done nothing during his tenure but make FSR a laughing stock and ruin the morale of his employees.

> Why don't you ask Chris Myers,J.T, Brian Cox or Jim Mora about their morale? They have never sounded better and are the core of the Network. Sounds like your favorite FSR hosts are long gone because they got fired or imploded. FSR has hosts with opinions unlike ESPN radio. Those guys are told to cross promote TV! Sporting News has had more lineup changes in the past five years than ESPN and Fox combined. Care to debate on that topic? Didn't think so.

JT is Asswood's best friend and Asswood bends over backwards for him, so yeah, I guess his morale is high. And if I worked a half schedule like Chris Myers, my morale would be pretty high too. On the other hand, as for Brian Cox, he didn't sound too happy when Asswood canned Art Martinez thanks to the rat Chris Morales.

what is this about Chris Morales being a rat??
I wondered what happened to him??

I had the misfortune of being away from my computer earlier this afternoon, and was forced to listen to The Drive instead of streaming Petros' show. Anyway, B. Cox opened the show by blasting "that rat" Art Martinez (former engineer for the show, and he engineered Kiley & Booms back in the day as well) and Myers mentioned the "unfortunate circumstances" surrounding Art's leaving FSR.

Anyone know what happened? Cox was especially bitter, as if Art had disclosed confidential info about him.

The rat was not Art Martinez. Art was fired because Ashwood's boy, Chris Morales was evesdropping on a conversation Art was having with another host in the main studio. The studios at Fox are bugged and Morales regularly listens in to the feed so he can dig up dirt on his co-workers. Art made a comment about Krystal, Morales told Andrew Ashwood, and Art was fired.

And to answer your question about Morales, he received some sort of promotion a while ago and no longer is a board op. That's why you haven't heard his name on the air recently, but he is definitely still at FSR.
