Gray And Marquee To Swap Two Stations

Gray to sell KNIN to Marquee and Gray to get WPGA-TV if the deal is approved.

Gray will sell KNIN, its Fox affiliate in the Boise, Idaho, market (DMA 102), to Marquee. Currently, another broadcaster in the Boise market provides local news programming and back-office services for KNIN under a shared services agreement, subject to the ultimate control of Gray.

Concurrently with the KNIN closing, Marquee will sell WPGA, its full-power MeTV affiliate in Macon, Ga. (DMA 126), to Gray. At that time, Gray will own a full-power station in every television market in its home state of Georgia.

I wonder if Gray will switch WPGA's affiliation with Me-TV.

I wonder if Gray will go after the ABC, Fox or NBC affiliation in the market now. ABC is on a sub channel of the Fox affiliate. WPGA use to be ABC use to be Fox so I wonder if history will repeat itself. Then again it could be used as an repeater of Peachtree TV (once TBS) in Atlanta which they also own.

Not as a repeater for Peachtree TV (WPCH). As part of the duopoly with WANF, they brand as Atlanta News First and that's their immediate focus.
