Greaseman Mystery

I checked out the NBC4 and ABC7 websites, as of 6pm nothing about Grease. If Grease had died one would think that would be a top story. When the great Melvin "The Quiet Storm" Lindsay ( WKYS & WHUR ) died several years ago, that was a big local story on DC TV, one would think it would be the case with Greaseman as well.

I'm shocked and saddened, if it's true. RIP, Doug.

Thankfully, upon hearing the good news, I was able to pull my “Lawman” album (which I scored in Jax back in 78) off ebay just in the nick of time. But, if anyone needs a lock of hair, a half eaten donut, and that absolutely disgusting DNA sample to round out their collection…..

BTW-For those of us who appreciate Grease, DC 101 has an “alive and well” message (in typical Greaseman fashion) under the jocks section.

Re: Greaseman Mystery - SOLVED

Announced on ROCK 105 today (Jacksonville, FL) that Grease will do PM Drive starting Weds.

You may recall the Grease got his first big success in Jacksonville in the 1970's, before moving on the large markets.

From what I've read on dcrtv, Greaseman will continue to live in Potomac, Md. doing his show from his own studio at home. He will continue his Satuday gig at DC101.

There is some more to this story on the "DJ Resigns On-Air" thread on the New York board.

Apparently the resigning DJ was replaced by Greaseman.
