Greaseman Returning?

D

According to the NYRMB. Greaseman is returning to do weekends at DC 101? Is this true or is it April fools?

It's about time.

K-Rock in NYC used to program Grease from 7-10pm weeknights - they should have kept him, because he's better than what they're programming now.

Interesting how fast it took Imus to get back on the air after his suspension as opposed to Grease - is what they said really that much different?

The difference was Imus had amassed 30 years of top dollar fortune to weather the storm and ABC wanted him, simple as that. Grease was a couple years into his first big syndication deal, didn't have the clout Imus has in NY, and became CBS collateral damage. It is a serious shame that none of the big players in DC would give him a chance. I was surprised that someone like DC101 didn't do this sooner.

Ha!

He never would have survived the multiple format "tweaks" on 92.3 and that horrendous Free-FM format that would fire hosts for being racy, when they were hired to do so in the beginning.

Do you really think that MLK comment he made would fly these days?

Just had a chance this weekend to listen to the Grease on 101. Ya know...he used to be funny...even used to have some credibility and status as a broadcaster. These days he's just an an overgrown version of Beavis & Butthead. His show is like kids on a summer vacation....No Class. Almost makes Stern look like a conservative. Is this what you really want in radio ? Easy to see why we're becoming a second world country

Perhaps you should be listening to NPR! Have you ever listened to Grease before this past weekend? That has been his style his entire career.

I guess as far as Dougie's show goes , it all depends on where you eat your breakfast...at the kitchen table or while taking a crap.
