Great DX last night

It is rare that you can pull in Central PA from here.
Last night I was getting WLAN in nearly quieting stereo, Bob 94-9 (Do not remember the calls) Country out of Harisburg, 60's-80's Oldies WXOF out of Red Lion, PA, and a 101.9 "B102" isn't that out of what. Potsville, I think? I know its another Hot AC in Central PA Usually I get stuff off the coast, Wildwood NJ, Baltimore MD. Usually its not from the direction of Harisburg. Oh how cool this was!

That's WRBT.

60's-80's Oldies WXOF out of Red Lion, PA,

That's WSOX/Red Lion.

Again, close - 101.9 is "T-102" WAVT from Pottsville.

There was even better tropo Wednesday night/Thursday morning. Got stations from Boston to North Carolina, including a few new logs. All stations from Pennsylvania east of the Appalachians are DX pests for me.

As I mentioned in another post I picked up 94.1 ESPN radio from Norfolk, VA this past Thursday night while in Ocean City, NJ.

That's all that water I think, will.
I remember someone once telling me that signals go great over water.
So i'm thinkin you near the coast, and Norfolk near the coast, that might explain that.
My guess is that inward land doesn't do as well for DX, but I've gotten Philly stations on a portibal boombox in West River, MD. then again the river is near water too.

I'm sure the proximity to the ocean was the reason John. A couple minutes inland it was gone, replaced by the Eagles on WYSP, with heavy static!
