Kudos to PBS and Great Performances for an outstanding performance of South Pacific in concert at Carneige Hall.Reva McIntyre as Nellie Forbush and Brian Michael Stokes as Emil Debeck were real finds as well as the entire cast.The concept was to do the music in a concert style with the performers reading the script from notebooks as in a read through with a full orchestra.It works!!!!This is a ' Must See' if you have not seen this 'Great Performance' at least once. This is truly American opera which should never be lost.
