Great OLD article about the Adult Contemporary format

I was looking through an old issue of Radio & Records magazine from 21 years ago this week back in 1997, and it had a nice long article about how the Adult Contemporary format had changed over the years, and had become one of the most successful radio formats. It actually brought back a lot of memories of what life was like back then. I was 12 years old, in between 6th and 7th grade. If you listened to AC during that summer, I'm sure you remember "Butterfly Kisses" was played to death. But I thought this was really interesting, and I wonder how much you guys think it's changed since the article was written. Here's the link to the issue, and the article starts on page 37:

There were actually a lot of articles, mostly about artists. I wish I had the time to read it all, but I've got a lot of other stuff to do.
