Great radio voice passes

From Mike Kavanagh of WSB RadioA man who had a great radio voice and made significant contributions to both WCNN and WSB passed away suddenly last week. My friend Gary Wright did business reports for WCNN during its days as an all-news outlet in the early 90s and briefly hosted a money talk show on WCNN. After WCNN, I invited Gary to be a guest on my Money Matters talk show on WSB, which he did until about a year ago when his brokerage firm withdrew permission for his radio work. He was only 56. He was a great guy and in my view one of the most honest and ethical people I have ever known in the financial business. For those of you who remember that smooth booming baritone voice, I am sure you share with me the feeling that someone special has left us.

I'm sorry to hear that Mike. I heard him on with you a few times and he really seemed to know his stuff. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
