Great Scott To Flip 107.7 From Country To CHR

So I herd a rumor today that GSB is going to flip Country 107.7 (Fruitland, MD) to CHR. I know Mitch Scott is an idiot, but someone needs to tell him that would pull ratings from his #1 Hip Hop/R&B station OC 104 and his Hot AC Station B101.7. This guy owns to many stations. He has already shut off 106.1 in Pocomoke City, MD, due to financial reasons (saw on FCC website). So I say, leave it alone or shut it off!
 
Can't be any worse than being the number 3 country station in the market. Froggy and Cat are strong...and are for the most part live and local. 107.7 is all Dial-Global all the time. Kiss doesn't really reach the beaches well. I can see a small hole for a CHR between "B" and OC104....but it is a very small hole. If recent history repeats itself...they'll flip to Dial-Global's CHR format....and the results will be the same.
 
Same old tune with Mitch Scott. His father was a true radio guy Mitch just likes to play radio guy. What's the format of the week???
 
Since 92.1 and 105.5 are being sold to run K-Love, I would not be surprised to see Great Scott flip either 101.7 (The B) or 107.7 to CHR. 107.7 is located east of Salisbury, so it has a good signal in both Ocean City and Salisbury. 101.7 is located on the same tower as 93.5, but operates with a directional signal, pulling it in from the north. I guess would be 107.7, since it actually has the better signal, similar to OC 104 (103.9).
 
I suspect they will take over with an LMA on January 1st, I'm should CC wanted to make their Christmas money. Now if someone else would by the rest of the group and bring real radio back.
 
Wouldn't Oldies make more sense on 107.7? 107.7 covers the area not covered by 107.1 and 101.3, and Oldies wouldn't interfere with any of the other Great Scott properties.

If they were going to CHR, it would be better to edge 101.7 towards that format rather than flip 107.7 and have a Rhythmic, Hot AC, and CHR competing with each other.
 
If they do flip anything it will only last a short time. 95.3, 101.7, 103.5, 1280, always a change and nothing lasting.
 
My hope for the new year, Great Scott will sell the stations to operators that will run them correctly. (If they did sell, they'd have to spin off 4 FM's from the others, to meet the market rules (no more than 4 to a band am or fm) since they are currently grandfathered. Since they had to file ownership change with the death of Faye, they may actually loose that grandfathered situation now.
