Great sounding remotes for free

Just downloaded a free app called "Hertz" on my Droid. Recorded a 60 second remote break at 44.1khz using the internal mic & emailed the 6 meg file to myself. The quality is superb...no digital artifacts. Assuming the jock has the Verizon $29 data plan, he can do all the news reports, remote breaks, etc he/she wants for free. This borders on a free lunch.

I'm not an apple fan...at...ALL. But, the internal mic in the iPhone beats the daylights out of the internal mic sound of the two droid phones I've tried using recorders on.

What phone did you try this on? A 6 meg file is way too large to send through 3g or 2g service. 100k-300k is more doable.

For that matter, if you have an ftp client on your droid, you can upload the file to an FTP and have a batch file go grab the file and AFC can convert it and drop it into NexGen... I do it all the time..
