GREAT Standards Station!

Agree 100% about KAAM - great station

I agree KAAM is one of the great Standards stations. I live in The Galleria /West Loop area of houston, about 10 mikes west of downtown and KAAM can be received during the daytime and occassionaly at night, I listen on to the streaming audio for the digital sound and a clear strong signal. I only wished that Houston would have one of the many brokered AM's would switch to a similiar format that I could listen to in the SUV. I can't wait for Internet Radio's to come on the market for vehicles. Much of Houston/Harris County has the internet covering the area and will be full coverage in the 2008's. I imagine the surrounding counties will be the same by 2009. Then I will be able to listen to KAAM while driving in the metro.

KAAM fans might also want to check out its sister station in Birmingham, WLGS 1260 http://www.legends1260.com/. I don't know how much the music mix differs between them all, but I know that 1260 plays some Southern regional hits from the 50s that I wouldn't necessarily expect to hear in Dallas or Rochester.

If Bittner in Boston drops Standards, the Crawford stations will be about the only good locally-programmed true standards (as opposed to soft AC with a little Frank thrown in for flavor) left in the US.
