In today's Herald it's said that while Greater Media says that Redo and they mutually agreed to
part, Redo claims he was fired.

I worked for him when I was at Greater Media from 1986-1988, at the defunct oldies station 1150 WMEX. Among his other duties, he was an interim PD of WMEX when I was there.

He seemed like a really nice, good guy who just took care of business efficiently and did a great job, and treated people respectfully with no B.S. or managerial ego trips. This is a real shame.

In this day and age, this is probably WHY he was let go.

If he's at all responsible for the sound of the station, they're crazy. Whatever you think of individual shows, the station has a "sound" and a sense of community between the hosts that is very appealing.
