Greater Media's HD2 Classic Rock channel

I've been listening to their Detroit classic rock stations HD2 stream. If this is indicative of what will be 'MGK's HD2 stream it should be pretty good. They just segued from Led Zep's Achilles Last Stand into Santana's Singing Wind, Crying Beast from Abraxas. Just like the old day's. Too bad this is being subjugated to the HD stream instead of the main broadcast signal. If WMGK sounded this good, I wouldn't need XM. I sure hope WMGK does the right thing and lets Michael Tearson program the HD2 stream. <P ID="edit"><FONT class="small">Edited by saund3461 on 04/11/06 06:44 PM.</FONT></P>

Guess from the posts here MGK deux is not up yet, but www.hd-radio.com says it is, interesting...Must mean it's on its' way soon then.

Another one that promises to be interesting is MMRChives, for sure. Says it's going to be old WMMR recordings...Wow.

Then there's some confusion...Some press has reported WBEB will do 80s, and OGL will do 70s on their HD2's, and some press has that reversed, with BEB doing 70s and OGL doing 80s...Anyone know who's right?? If it's the latter, wouldn't it be nice if they brought back those old 'Hot Hits' jingles?? Just dreaming here.

wbeb will have all 80's but i dont care im going to xm in a few day's so now ill get my 50's and 60's back

Just got back from a Philly vacation...Took the Recepter with me.

MGK-2 is on the air, and it is just about how you all are describing it, pretty nice and deep in variety..

Also had a brief WRDW-FM HD2 'sighting' on Saturday night for a few hours from my hotel room. They were just analog when I arrived, but good dance tuneage played briefly Saturday night, then Sunday morning went to dead carrier and the Title/Artist display remained stuck on "BELIEVE/CHEMICAL BROTHERS" for the remainder of my stay there.

AM, a whole different matter..Quite a mission to get WDAS-AM.
