GREATEST AIRCHECKS OF ALL TIME!

Some of the great ones....

1. From the mid 70s...2 Top 40 djs working at competing stations in Miami, each jock was doing overnights, played the same songs on both stations for an hour or so. Funny stuff!

2. Frankie Blue djing on WNEW, gives the KTU call letters.

3. Any airchecks of pirate radio WFAT/BROOKLYN 1620AM. The station would play jingle samplers for 20 minutes or so at a time. DJs & radio geeks would call in. Great station.

4. Any airchecks of the old pirate KDOR from the LA area.

Dan Ingram WABC Labor Day, 1968. About as good as he has ever been.

Ok. SOUPY SALES quitting on WNBC. Also, any airchecks of BILL LEE doing HOT HITS format on WTIC-FM 96 TICS (HARTFORD).

Throw in SCOTT SHANNON's last day at WHTZ.

Dick Biondi on WCFL, 10/3/67 is a personal favorite of mine. Biondi is in fine form, there's some great forgotten songs, and the WCFL jingles are better than most of today's top 40 songs. Its tough to pick just one - kind of like choosing between your children....

or something.

You can't have the best without John Landecker and
the WLS stuff.
